Day 1: Hanoi – Maichau (L;D)
160 km drive to Maichau. Check in home stay in Lac village of Thai minority. Walk to explore locals' daily life. In the evening, enjoy traditional music performance. Overnight home stay.
Day 2: Maichau - Sonla (B;L;D)
Continue driving to Sonla via Mocchau and Thuanchau plateaus. Visit to Sonla prison and museum. Overnight in Sonla
Day 3: Sonla – Dienbien (B;L;D)
Full day drive. Stop on the top of Phadin pass, the longest one in the north of Vietnam for photo. Visit Dienbienphu war museum and old Franco-Vietminh war' battlefield. Overnight in Dienbien.
Day 4: Dienbien - Laichau (B;L;D)
After breakfast, drive to Laichau with many stops on the way to visit and talk with local. Overnight in Tamduong.
Day 5: Laichau - Sapa (B;L;D)
Drive up hill towards Sapa. Stop for great view from the top of Tram Ton pass and visit Silver waterfall. Afternoon, free to explore Sapa town. Ovenight in Sapa.
Day 6: Sapa trekking (B;L;D)
Trek down valley see spectacular terraces on hillside and visit different minority groups. Back to Sapa for the second night.
Day 7: Sapa - Bacha (B;L;D)
Transfer by car to Bacha for morning marker then walk to experience daily life of locals nearby. Overnight in Bacha.
Day 8: Bacha – Hanoi (B;L;)
After breakfast, full day drive back to Hanoi. Trip ends.
