SMSPI 03: NORTHEAST-THE WONDER LAND - 7days

HANOI - BABE - CAOBANG - BACNINH - HALONG - HANOI

Day1: Hanoi - Backan (L,D)

Departure in Hanoi at 8:30. Overland trip to Backan with stops for taking photos. Visiting Thai Nguyen ethnology museum in Thai Nguyen city. Lunch on the way. Continue car trip to enjoy beautiful hilly sceneries. Arrive at Cho Ra town. Check in hotel. Free time after dinner. O/N in Cho Ra.

Day2: Babe national park (whole day kayaking)(B,L,D)

After breakfast, make for Babe national park. Get off car for morning kayaking from boat Wharf of Nang River. Kayaking downstream to visit Puong cave of thousands of bats. Go on kayaking along the river between two mountain ranges. Stop at local restaurant near to Dau Dang waterfall for lunch. Visiting Dau Dang waterfall, then get on motto boat for transferring to Babe Lake. Take more kayaking to explore the unique lake which located on mountains. Arrive at Pacngoi village boat wharf. Dinner and O/N on stilt house in Pacngoi village.

Day3:  Backan – Caobang (half day cycling)(B,L,D)

Breakfast on stilt house. After that, cycling to Cho Ra town with car pick-ups at steep hills. Stop at high points for photos of a marvelous landscape of Northeast area. Lunch at Cho Ra town. Get on car, head for Cao Bang. Arrive the Cao Bang town, check in Huong Thom hotel. Evening at leisure. O/N in Cao Bang.

Day4: Caobang – ban gioc waterfall (B,L,D)

Take car trip to Ban gioc waterfall which is in between the Vietnam – china border after breakfast. The van stops sometimes for cycling at some flat or a little uneven streches of the road with nice sceneries. On arrival at the waterfall, get on bamboo raft, have picnic lunch and admire the most beautiful waterfall in North Vietnam. On the way back to Cao Bang, visit Nguom Ngao cave. Back to Huong Thom hotel. Overnight in Cao Bang.
 

Day5: Cao Bang – Bac Ninh (B,L,D)

After breakfast, start driving down to Bac Ninh with stop in Lang Son if you want to do some shopping. Afternoon check in Phoenix hotel and at leisure or refeshing in the hotel swimming pool. Enjoy Quan Ho folk song during dinner. Overnight in Bac Ninh.

Day6: Bac Ninh - Halong Bay (B, L, D)

The van take you to visit Tho Ha old village which is located by Cau river where you can experience the local tradition of making rice paper and a beautiful pagoda. After the village, drive to Halong bay with a visit to a humanity center to see how skillful the handicapped children making traditional handicrafts  Arrive at Halong tourist pier; embark a wooden boat for afternoon cruise on the bay. Enjoy fresh sea food lunch on boat. Visiting Sung sot cave; Titop Island with a hike up to the top of the island for the whole bay view. O/N on boat in Halong bay.

Day7: Halong –Bat Trang ceramic village - Hanoi (B,L)

Breakfast on boat, then cruising to visit other parts of the bay. kayaking one and a half hour in Ba Hang area. Arrive the pier, getting on land and go to a restaurant in the city for lunch. Get on car for returning to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi. End of services.
